SJ Dance Company opened its doors in May of 2015 to a small group of dancers. Located in South Florida, SJDC provides dancers with the highest quality instruction in all dance styles. SJDC has a passion for supporting young talent as they develop. We have a staff that is dedicated to maintaining an uplifting, supportive, and motivating environment in order for their students to experience the wonderful transformation that dance provides.

Katerina San Juan Rodriguez, founder of SJ Dance Company, began her dance training of various styles at the age of three. She was later introduced to the ballet world at the age of eight by Liana Navarro, until the age of fifteen and later completed her training at Dance Attack. Katerina has danced in various national and regional competitions such as Youth American Grand Prix, Headliners, Starpower, Nexstar, Starquest, and many more, winning numerous scholarships and platinum medals.
After dancing for many years, she began to teach technique, ballet, jazz, and contemporary throughout Miami. Previously, she was the Assistant Coach for the Lourdes Academy Dancers from 2007 - 2011 and became the Dance Director from 2011 - 2013. Later, she became the choreographer and Director of MVSA Elite Dancers as they attained a multitude of winnings in many regional and national competitions.
Katerina's routines consistently placed in the top 5. She has also won numerous choreography awards for routines such as "Smooth", "Creepy Crawly", Don't Be Mean to Your Toys", "Matador", "Harajuku Girls", "Game On", "Still", "Desperate", and "Grown Woman", to name a few.
